Fire Safety for Fire Marshals (Level 2)
The risk of fire is a possible threat to most businesses. Having Fire Marshals trained to ensure your premises is evacuated safely will greatly reduce the risk of injury to your employees.
About the Fire Marshals qualification
The Level 2 award in fire safety for fire marshals will ensure that delegates can take the appropriate action in the event of a fire. They will be able to quickly and safely evacuate anybody that may be within your premises.
They will learn how identify fire hazards, understand the risks posed not only to them, but also to those around them, as a result of a fire starting in the workplace. As fire marshals they will be able to outline the control measures which are available in the workplace. Identify Fire Fighting equipment. Know what to do and where to go for safety, if a fire does start. They will learn the difference between comparative safety refuges and getting people to a place of total safety.
This qualification is available to those over 14 years. Candidates should be at least a level 1 numeracy and literacy or equivalent
No mandatory requirement, but taking a refresher every 3 years is recommended to ensure skills are current and relevant.
